How to Keep Healthy Nails at Home
1) Leave Your Cuticles Alone
You must have heard this several times, but we’ll say it once more. The cuticle seals the area at the base of the nail, preventing germs from entering and infecting nails. When you cut or trim the cuticle, it breaks that seal of protection, leaving your nails prone to infection. If your cuticles are looking ragged, simply push them back gently. And don’t forget to use a cuticle oil afterward to keep them soft.
2) Always Use A Base Coat
Next up in the list of nail beauty tips is coating. Think of it as sunscreen for your nails. Whether or not you plan on applying nail polish, apply a base coat to your nails. Not only does it prevent the nail from getting stained, but it also adds a protective layer to your nails. It preps, primes, and protects nails, and retains the richness of your nail polish color.
3) Read Labels On Your Polish
You’re finicky about your skincare, so why not with your nail polish too? Steer clear of polishes with toxic chemicals like dibutyl phthalate, formaldehyde, and toluene that can worsen brittleness, splitting, and cracking. Look for a 12-free formula like Adesse New York that is not just free from the 12 biggest nail baddies but is also not tested on animals and it is Vegan
4) Moisturize Your Hands And Nails frequently
You wouldn't go to bed without moisturizing your face so why should your nails not get some TLC too? There’s no dearth of pampering, nourishing formulas choc-a-bloc with gorgeous ingredients to keep your cuticles and nails hydrated while you sleep. Checkout The Adesse New York collection infused with Avocado, Almond, Shea and Jojoba oils. It’s a good idea to keep the love for your hands going even during the day.

Our Story
I created Adesse New York because I wanted a solution for my damaged nails. I was a gel wearer for years and my nails were extremely damaged and showed all the signs of aging; weakness, brittleness, peeling, cracking, splitting and difficulty growing. I loved the beautifully manicured look of my gels, but when I had them removed, my nails were almost permanently damaged. I was a professional woman working in product development in the beauty industry, creating beauty products for iconic brands such as Revlon, Avon, Estée Lauder, Origins and Elizabeth Arden. I loved the look of my gels and the confidence I felt from having beautifully manicured nails, but not the damage my natural nails were suffering as a result. I started looking for products that could repair the damage but there was nothing out there. I asked friends and colleagues for suggestions but heard the same story. Everyone complained about the damage their gels and acrylics were causing but couldn’t find anything to help their nails. I thought about all the skin care and color cosmetics we were developing to give our faces a more youthful appearance, but we weren’t creating anything for our nails. That was when I decided to take my twenty years of beauty industry experience and develop the Adesse brand; based on a High Tech Skin Care for Nails® approach to treating and restoring nails back to their healthy, natural condition. I developed a collection of products that treat all the signs of aging and damage using natural and organic, high performance ingredients and advanced science and manufacturing technologies. So now, anyone suffering from over use of gels, acrylics or harsh products, anyone who has nails that are weak, brittle, peeling, cracking, dull, dehydrated cuticles or discoloration can restore their nails to a healthy, natural condition. Every day, we strive to create products that deliver results without compromising luxury. Adesse New York products are Vegan, PETA, and Leaping Bunny Certified Cruelty Free, proudly made in the USA, 12 Free; made without Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Toluene, Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Camphor, Triclosan, Sulfates, Xylene, Phosphates, Parabens, GMO’s or Triphenyl Phosphate (TPHP).
